Finger Lakes Woodturners

We will hold our traditional Holiday Round Robin event during our monthly meeting time on Thursday Dec 21. We will gather beginning at 6:30 at St Michael's Woodshop and continue until about 9pm

Who: Members, Spouses, Significant Others

What to Bring:

1. A dish to pass (The Club supplies the utensils, cider, and water)
2. Your show and share items
3. Your tools and sharpening if desired

This is not our normal monthly meeting, it is our annual Holiday Party, and an excellent opportunity to mingle and meet many of your fellow turners. There will be multiple turning stations, including ornaments (see below for a tree inspired by Erv Tschanz, that Denis Caysinger will demonstrate), hollowing, sharpening and more! Get advice on any aspect of turning, and perhaps try your hand with making a top or ornament at one of the lathes that will be available. Bring your spouse or significant other along for the fun.

We will have sharpening stations, so bring your tools and jigs for a tune-up, or to get help with sharpening questions and issues.

The meeting will also feature

1. Multiple Door Prizes - receive a raffle ticket when you enter
2. Show and Share - Receive a raffle ticket when you share your work
3. Photo Booth - Take pictures of your work
4. Silent Auction for wood blanks
5. Sales on Anchorseal and sandpaper

Members may invite guests to join in the activities. Elevator/Handicap access is available. Let us know if you need to use elevator access
