Finger Lakes Woodturners will hold our regular April club meeting on Thursday April 20th. FLWT member Denis Caysinger is our featured demonstrator, and Denis will show us some pen turning tips, and and he will demonstrate techniques for successful pen turning. The meeting will begin at 6:00pm with a show and share of members work, followed by a short business meeting which will commence at 6:30pm.

Denis will also show how to successfully work with acrylics, as well as pitfalls experienced along the way. He will also discuss his preferred finish for wood pens, as well as safety tips when working with exotic woods.

There are many sources for pen components and blanks, and Denis will share some of the suppliers he uses when purchasing.

And finally, Denis will touch on how to successfully sell pens and other turnings in the local Rochester market.
