The May meeting will be an in person demonstration at St Michael's Woodshop with John Beaver who will cover a brief history of his background and how he has developed his signature form of wave bowls over a number of years. He will demonstrate making a basic wave bowl, and will go over the details for how his bandsaw jig is constructed and utilized in the construction of these interesting bowls. He will also discuss what can be seen and learned at the Saturday Demo, and during the twodays of workshops he will be presenting during his visit.
Doors and Zoom will open at 6:45 pm for informal discussions, and the meeting will begin at 7:15. The meeting and demonstration will also be available via Zoom for members who are not attending in person.
Folks attending at St Michael's Woodshop should plan to arrive no earlier than 6:45, to insure that the student program has finished for the day. Participants enter through the main entrance to sign in with building security.
Zoom information will be emailed to current FLWT members a few days in advance of the meeting.
