Trent Bosch is the featured demonstrator for the September 17 meeting. Trent is going to demonstrate doing “Decorative Utility Bowls.” The meeting will begin at 6:45 for informal interactions among the participants, and a short business meeting will begin at 7:00pm, followed by Trent’s remote demo.

During the demonstration, Trent will take us through all the steps and processes in creating a decorative utility bowl. He begins by discussing getting wood from the wood lot to the bandsaw, to the lathe to rough turn a bowl. Then Trent discusses drying techniques for green wood, re-turns the dry bowl to its final shape.

Trent will also show numerous decorative techniques and finishing options. Woodturners of all levels are certain to enjoy this interactive remote demo (aka IRD)
